Writing down my daydreams...

Most people daydream, some more than others.

I definitely fall into the "more" category.

My daydreams, visions, musings, whatever you want to call them vary widely but they have several things in common - they are always short scenes, highly visual snippets of a bigger story waiting for exposition... like you have just turned on the TV halfway through a movie and you have to try and work out who is who and what is what.

Hmmm, perhaps I should have called this blog 101 unfinished movie scripts?

Of course, you'll only put the effort into working out the who and the what (not to mention when, where, how and why) if that initial scene grabs your attention in some way.

For me, some of those daydreams are like that, and they return time and time again. Like babies impatient to be born - they give me a firm kick every now and again to say "why haven't you filled in the gaps in this story? How did the characters get here, where are they going next, why do are they doing what they do?".

So that's what this blog is all about - writing down those 101 scenes from 101 unfinished novels and seeing if I can develop my writing skills sufficiently so that you can see them as clearly as I can.
